This paper made mechanical analysis on the frame of papermachine dry section based on finite element analysis software ANSYS. The distribution of displacement and stress with static load was shown through Static analysis module and the natural frequency and also the distribution of displacement and stress was given through Modal analysis module. With the analysis result of its mechanical property of the frame, this paper can give some theoretical basis for the design, fault diagnosis and speed-increasing rebuild of dry section. This paper chooses the frame of dry section of domestic manufactured paper board machine with design speed of 600m/s as the analysis object. The optimal design was based on optimal design theory and with the target of minimum quality and optimal dynamic property. With the adjustment of the steel plate thickness, the arrangement of stand beams of different size and also the structure of horizontal connecting beams, the quality has been reduced by 30% with the same mechanical property. Besides, its dynamic property increases, with the increase of the 1st step modal frequency, the design speed can arise to above 1200m/s theoretically.
