Aqueous phase reforming of glycerol over Ni-based catalysts was carried out at 225°C, 23 barand LHSV=4 h~(-1). The Ni-based catalysts were prepared by an incipient wetness impregnation method.The catalysts were characterized by N_2 physisorption and XRD. It was found that Ni (20 wt%)-Co(3wt%)/γ-Al_2O_3 catalyst showed higher glycerol conversion with H_2/CO = 4 than the other catalysts.Theresults suggest that the Ni-Co/γ-Al_2O_3 catalyst can be applied to the synthesis gas production systemusing APR of glycerol for application in synfuel production.
