In a multirecess hybrid journal bearing system, use of compensating devices is inevitable, to provide a pressure drop between the supply manifold and the recesses and accordingly different types of compensating devices have been developed such as membrane, capillary, orifice, constant flow valve (CFV) etc. For high speed applications, the 2-lobe multirecess hybrid journal bearing offers excellent characteristics such as a good dynamic performance and better shaft stability.
