Stabilizing the Method of Moments for Dielectrics Using a Combined Charge and Current Formulation of the EFIE

An alternative, frequency-stable form of the Method of Moments for dielectric materials is presented. By explicitly including both current and charge, a new set of integral equations is derived that remains well-conditioned at all frequencies. The practical implementation of this formulation is discussed, and a number of test results are presented.
