The growth in portable, battery operated devices and other complicated equipments which need high precision supply voltages has fueled the growth of the low dropout regulator(LDO) due to its many advantages[2]. This paper presents a 2.8 V 50 mA on chip low dropout voltage regulator (LDO). The external capacitor is removed allowing for greater power system integration for system on-chip applications. The regulator is presented that provides a fast transient response, a low quiescent current 0.047 mA with a dropout voltage of 39 mV and a full range alternating current ac stability from 0–50 mA load current. The output variation when a full load step is applied 10 mV. It designed in 0.18 um CMOS process.
