J2EE is a practical course involving many techniques. To some extent it is difficult to grasp for beginners and some students with poor learning ability.In the paper, ladder-teaching method is brought into J2EE course based on project-driven mode.First the practice of the project-driven teaching mode at our school of software is presented and the idea behind the ladder-teaching method is introduced briefly, and then some strategies and suggestions are derived from our J2EE ladder-teaching experiences over the last several years.Also, a teaching project case is implemented in order to illustrate how the method applied to the J2EE practical teaching.Practice shows that the ladder-teaching method can greatly bring students the sense of achievement, especially for the students with poor learning ability, and arouse their enthusiasm and initiatives;thereby the quality of teaching is greatly improved.
