A weighted rational cubic spline and its application

摘要

In this paper, a rational cubic spline interpolation has been constructed using the rational cubic spline with quadratic denominator. The two families of parameters, in the description of the rational interpolant, not only have been constrained to preserve the shape of the data, but could also be used to constrain the shape of the interpolant curve such as to force it to be the given region. Also, the approximation properties of this weighted rational cubic spline are studied.
