In order to satisfy the great demands of remote, real-time and flexible image acquisition in monitoring system, a solution to pan-tilt control system in remote image monitoring system is presented, which is based on ARM Cortex-M3 microcontroller and radio communication. And then, the hardware and software design is discussed in detail. Finally, the result shows that the pan-tilt control system provides many advantages such as remote and flexible control, high precision and low cost. So it has a huge market with big potential and wide prospect.
