Simulation Analysis on Influence of Redundant Time in Train Rescheduling in Passenger Dedicated Lines

Redundant time plays an important role in timetable construction and train rescheduling. There are several types of redundant time. Different type and different value of redundant time will bring various influences on train rescheduling. The paper focused on two types of them: recovery time and buffer time and analyzed their influences by simulation. It analyzed common train rescheduling strategies firstly. Then different values of buffer time and recovery time were used and various strategies were also applied in the experiments to analyze the influences of redundant time on train rescheduling.
