This paper has introduced a new approach for fault injection. By this method we can complete a variety of fault injection into distributed system with open architecture, such as hardware fault injection, software fault injection and simulated fault injection. This approach overcomes the disadvantage of traditional single fault injection method. To maximize the efficacy of each injection, the locations, timing, and conditions for faults being injected must be carefully chosen. The injection methodologies focus separately on the system and process view points to facilitate the testing of system dependability. Details of the injection methodologies are discussed in this paper, along with their implementations, experimental results, efficiency and robust.
