A Review on Injury Severity Analysis of Bicyclist and Pedestrian Traffic Accident

This paper reviewed resent studies on injury severity analysis of bicyclist and pedestrian traffic accident,focusing on model,variable choice,and factor analysis.Logit model and Ordered probit model which can be used in injury severity analysis were introduced.Two methods for injury severity classification were proposed.The results indicate that safety analysis literature is seeing a tendency from aggregated analysis to disaggregated analysis.The major factors that influenced injury severity include non-motorist characteristics,motorized vehicle attributes,motorized vehicle driver characteristics,roadway characteristics,environmental factors and crash characteristics.It is proposed that we should try to improve the study level in our country in aspects of modeling and factor analysis.The study can provide certain experience to be drawn on by further study in this field.situations.
