Simulation calculation of semi-coke dry quenching with recycled carbonization gas

Based on the low-temperature carbonization process carried out in internal heating shaft furnace, it is carried out that the Simulation calculation of semi-coke dry quenching (SDQ) with carbonization gas used as semi-coke quenching medium to quench and extinguish the hot semi-coke. The gas composition, material balance and heat balance is calculated and analyzed. The results showed that the new process with SDQ technology could save almost 388.10 kg water and 809.90 MJ per ton of semi-coke, with the semi-coke sensible heat effectively recycled. As a result, water content in product can be obviously reduced. Meanwhile, the theoretical semi-coke yield can be improved because of the decrease of water gas reaction. The technology shows a good application foreground. The research can provide reference for overcoming the problems in traditional process, such as high water content in semi-coke product and large water consumption in the production process.
