The new digital media in educating computer engineering students for in-company communication

The present paper explores the benefits of applying the new technologies of the new digital media in educating computer engineering students for improved communication skills in their professional settings. An examination of their specific needs is investigated against the background of present-day communication requirements. An outlook on the main benefits of the new digital services creates the framework for further educational purposes. Concrete instances of applying the new technologies to the items of the already existing curriculum are analysed — the case study under discussion is the communication syllabus for the second year students in Computer Engineering at “Politehnica” University of Timisoara.
