Demonstrating novel functionality of air-holes to realize large-mode-area optical fibers

摘要

A new functionality of air-holes, worked as prevention for micro-deformation induced loss without affecting other properties, is demonstrated. A fiber with Aeff of 150µm² was fabricated by utilizing the new functionality.
