The finite element model of Co-driver in frontal crash was developed and validated. The sensitivity analysis of eight main design parameters was conducted to filtrate four parameters which have big influence to injury parameters. These parameters include triggering time, vent area, gas flow rate and the limited force of retractor. Simulation schedule for the different levels of these parameters was designed with the Uniform Design of Experiment. The co-driver's injury parameters in corresponding level of design parameters were computed. In order to get the regression equation and optimal solution, regression analysis method is used to analyze the injury parameters. Results show that, when the triggering time is 10ms, the vent area is 2461mm2 and the gas flow rate is original value, the minimum WIC could be obtained.
