摘要

Kisho Kurokawa (1934–2007) is a world famous Japanese architect who made his imprint on architecture and urban planning all around the world. During the mid 1980s, Kurokawa started a twenty-year journey of professional design in China. The Yi Lanzhai Museum, Nanjing, which Kisho Kurokawa confidently told the media that it could be listed by the UNESCO as the preservation sample of modern architecture, is still under way for constuction in the past seven years. This paper reveals his final un-built architecture in China, and tries to interpret his philosophy in his later years through this work.
