Since a Smagorinsky model is proposed and applied to compute indoor air flow, a lot of modified or novel SGS models have been proposed and tested. In this situation, WALE model appeared with non-dynamic improvement in 1999. It is introduced in some well-known CFD packages recently. We expect it could be a de-fact standard in LES of HVAC field whereas it has not been so paid attention at first. One more SGS model we are paying attention to is dynamic 1 equation model proposed by Kajishima et al. it is 'dynamic' but stable and implemented proper energy cascade. In this paper, these SGS models are tested to compute proper convective heat transfer in natural convection field.
