Investigation on neutral and preferred temperature of secondary school in Nepal

This study aims to analyze the temperature of preference of thermal environments (preferred indoor air temperature) inside the classroom of naturally ventilated school buildings in Autumn of 2017. A questionnaire survey for personal response and measurement survey to measure the environmental parameters was conducted. The data analysis is based on the data collected from eight selected higher secondary schools. A total of 2454 responses were collected from 489 females (60%),329 males (40%) with the age group of 12-18 years. The neutral temperature and preferred temperature estimated in this study was 27.1°C and 26.2°C.
