Taking an engineering design case about the dynamic model updating of long-span bridge under environment excitation, the three dynamic calculating models of the cable-stayed bridge are created by the finite element analysis program ANSYS, and the dynamic characteristics were analyzed, further by experimental results carried out on three models optimized amendment. The analysis results show that according to long-span bridge modal field measurement data, combined with the finite model updating method based on optimization design principle, the dynamic model of long-span bridge can get well. This method is effective and practical to amend the better, for bridge structural health monitoring, damage identification and condition assessment study provides a more reliable finite element model.
