This paper discusses the Parallel Finite Difference Time Domain Method (FDTD) using Message Passing Interface (MPI) protocol for the electromagnetic (EM) scattering by coated complex targets. The parallel programs have run on the Cluster of Workstation (COW) parallel computing system including several PC nodes, by which the correctness of the algorithm is verified, the accelerating ratio and computational efficiency of the parallel programs are also researched.
