This paper analyzes a novel control strategy for cophase traction power supply device (CTPSD). In this paper, the advantages of the direct control mode over other control mode are presented by describing the theoretical basis, working mechanism and control system design in detail. Furthermore, the typical behavior of this control mode is simulated to present the control effectiveness. It should be noted that the voltage and current distortion are not being detected and calculated in this way. The results of the research show that when compared with the directly compensation mode, the directly control mode is a good solution for the real-time detection of distortion especially for the unknown disturbances of power network. Therefore, the problem of detecting and calculating the distortion without delay can be solved.
