摘要

This paper proposes by an interdisciplinary research approach the possibility of using advanced PM materials based on titanium in medical robotics. Among metals, titanium shows the best biocompatibility and is well tolerated by living cells, without changing their functions. To improve the mechanical characteristics is important alloying titanium with non-toxic elements (Zr-Zirconium, Nb-niobium, Ta-tantalum) that increasing their properties without adversely affecting their biocompatibility. The shape memory effect was realized by repeated cycles of plastic deformation followed by heat treatment. Experimental research aimed at preclinical testing of Ti-6AI-7Nb and Ni-Ti alloys (elasticity, corrosion resistance, wear resistance) and evaluation tests of biocompatibility in vitro.
