Podcasting can no longer be considered a novelty in the world of Internet users. Nevertheless its penetration into the educational field is limited to some of the most prestigious universities worldwide, which generally use iTunes U, the application offered by Apple. At “Politehnica” University of Timisoara, we have implemented a podcasting module for the students of the Distance Learning Centre. The present paper presents the evaluation of that module from three different perspectives: stability and functionality, utility/applicability and the impact on the target group made of the students.
