A modified parallel evolutionary algorithm to economic scheduling of Three Gorges Project considering the influence of passing through the vibration area
The phenomenon of passing through the vibration area of units is unavoidable and induces a non-ignored economic effect in hydro economic dispatch schedule problems. This paper establishes a nonlinear economic dispatch scheduling(EDS) model of Three Gorges Project(TGP) considering the impact of units for passing through the vibration area. In order to optimize the complex and multi-period model, a modified parallel evolutionary algorithm which is inspired by tribes' migration is proposed. The method typically comprises migration policy and self-adaptive evolutionary operators. The presented algorithm demonstrates excellent performance for global exploiting and local developing capabilities, which is substantiated by the comparison with different algorithms applied in the EDS model of TGP.
