摘要

With high efficiency, long life, fast response and no environmental pollution, the flywheel energy storage system (FESS) is the best choice in the field of energy storage. For easy control, low cost, brushless DC (BLDC) motor was used as FESS motor/generator. In this paper, a buck circuit is presented to reduce motor torque ripple in charge section, using constant torque control at low speed and constant power control at high speed. A charging simulation model has been built in MATLAB, and the result shows that the charging module is correct and effective.
