This research examines the interlaminar damage growth of CFRP laminates under low-velocity transverse impact. We have developed a fracture simulation model based on the Dugdale's cohesive zone model. This model yields the damage propagation result similar to that by fracture mechanics approach. The analysis is conducted on the 3D interlaminar damage growth of CFRP cross-ply laminate under transverse loading with cohesive zone model. The simulated pattern gives a good agreement with the impact test results.
