In order to study the influence of the metal phase in the carbon yield and structural characteristic of carbon synthesized by Catalytic chemical vapour deposition (C-CVD) over supported catalysts, different catalysts were prepared using iron and nickel as active metal and hydroxyapatite as support. In this poster, we present the results on the application of hydroxyapatite (HAp) as a catalyst support for the synthesis of carbon nanotubes and carbon fibers.
