摘要

The entire structural design process of BUAA student micro satellite (BUAA-Sat) has been introduced in this paper. Advanced integrated design concept is used to achieve the goal of light weight, compact volume, low cost, easy processing, and convenient assembly. BUAA-Sat is a gravity-gradient stabilized satellite, consist of main-satellite and sub-satellite which are connected by coilable mast on orbit. Duralumin alloy was selected as BUAA-Sat main material for its excellent performance in mechanics and economics. The finite element method was used to predict the modal characteristics and stresses of the structure. Meanwhile, vibration tests were carried out to verify the finite element analysis results and the feasibility of BUAA-Sat structure.
