Numerous literature papers deals on Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) results, but generally the comparison with experimental results is not presented or inexistent. In this study we would like to focus and to show all the different validation steps and comparisons made in a specific simple transferred arc configuration before using the model in much more complex geometries. The confrontation is made on plasma characteristics and on the anode material.
