摘要

The goal of this work was to evaluate the role of mechanical and chemical stimulation of BMSCs in a 3D fibrin matrix. While we have shown that there may be a synergistic effect between mechanical and chemical stimulation, further work needs to evaluate how these synergistic effects regulate SMC expression in BMSCs. Future work will include confirmatory experiments with quantitative endpoints (gene and protein expression) for SMC differentiation and assessments of functionality.
