摘要

According to the characteristics of photovoltaic (PV) array and the current maximum power tracking control methods,an algorithm of maximum power point tracking (MPPT) which tracking the maximum power point based on the self-adaptive variable step-size is proposed in this paper. The method is divided into two stages,the first step is to apply perturb and observe (P&O)-aritnmetic which set up a larger step-size and get close to the maximum power point as fast as possible. On this basis,the second step is to utilize the variable step-size to be closer to the maximum power point as precise as possible and get to the best. The whole system meets to the tracking requirements of PV power system.
