The construction innovation education in Taiwan (China) has just started. Very few higher education institutions offer construction innovation curriculum for their students. This paper describes the experiences of developing the construction innovation curriculum for students of the Institute of Construction Management at Chung Hua University in Taiwan(China). Three stages of curriculum evolution are described including: (1) process modeling and constructability-based curriculum;(2) patent analysis based and computer aided innovation curriculum;and (3) R&D integrated fast innovation curriculum. The successes and difficulties experienced and confronted in the curriculum development are described and discussed. Lessons-learned are concluded to provide the educators of construction innovation a guideline for curriculum design and practical coursework delivery. This paper reviews the development of construction innovation education. A similar effort conducts in the Institute of Construction Management at the Chung Hua University in Taiwan(China) is presented. After five years of curriculum development, an integrated framework that combines CAI tools with R&D project management procedure form a fast innovation methodology is proposed for conducting the coursework of construction innovation curriculum. The proposed is proved to be very effective in training construction innovators who were not familiar with this discipline before.
