From the above, the following conclusions can be drawn:1. An industry standard for performing and analysing of ship speed trials isavailable through the results of the STA-JIP:○ The Recommended Practice for speed trials is public and can berequested by the authors. ○ The Recommended Analysis for speed trials and analysis software QSTAPare available for STA members.2. Noon reports are a useful and cheap method to evaluate the performance decay of the vessel but have insufficient accuracy to facilitate in an advice for performance improvement of the vessel.
