The PM industry today is faced with both economical and ecological changes. From the point of view of SMS Meer, new trends are essentially to be seen in the fields of drive and energy technology, and generally in the areas of part size and geometry, material mixtures and composite compacting. The questions that arise necessitate lasting solutions covering practically all important areas of PM compaction using modern CNC presses.The presentation focuses on a few selected compacts with differing levels of complexity developed to meet specific demands. The process-oriented design possibilities illustrated highlight individual solutions that have been developed quickly and flexibly. The listeners are also given ideas for developing creative answers for their own applications.
