摘要

It is technically inconvenient for programmers to create G code for complex workpiece in an efficient manner using traditional CNC programming method.Current CAM software can improve programming efficiency to certain extent,but most existing CAM software are not designed for specific CNC system,thus the output file cannot be transplanted to or executed by machine tool directly,therefore the usability is limited.This paper delivers a so-called assistant programming system (hereafter APS),which was designed and implemented based on and embedded into particular open architectured NC system.The proposed system invokes external CNC’s software modules,integrates CNC and machine parameters,adopts procedure-oriented and visualization program paradigm.The prototype system of APS has been put into certain practical context for real application,by which it has been proved that the programming efficiency can be significantly improved with the elimination of time-consuming code transplantation process.
