The mechanism of mine accident is very complicated, which occurs in the interaction and transformation between danger factor and non-danger factor. In order to control the occurrence of mine accident, all the danger factors must be discriminated completely. According to the contents and requirements of danger discrimination, common danger discrimination methods and potential danger discrimination methods are established. The type and amount of danger factor may be confirmed by common danger discrimination, the type of accident, degree of danger, capability of damage and scope of harm that will happen may be discriminated by potential danger discrimination. Based on die different discrimination method, the different techniques of discrimination are put forward. Especially for potential accident factor, Bp neural network discrimination model is established, the concept and formula of dangerous membership and the concepts of casualty (non-casualty) membership degree and catastrophe membership degree are put forward, and the scopes of values are defined. The danger discrimination method and process by neural network are proposed in detail. The discrimination methods above can provide decision-making support for the administration of danger factor.
