Metacognitive Strategies Training in English Reading Class

摘要

The quintessence of metacognitive theory is to emphasize students's self-awareness and self-monitoring. In this thesis, we designed a new pattern of metacognitive strategy training and integrated the long-time training into reading classes. Then we investigate into the effects of the training on learners' reading proficiency in an empirical way and give some suggestions.
