Research on Mode and Management Mechanism of Early Supplier Involvement in New Product Development

摘要

Early supplier involvement (ESI) in new product development (NPD) can enhance the competition ability of manufacturers. The mode, characteristic and influencing factors of ESI in NPD are analyzed. Finally the cooperative management mechanism between the manufacturer and supplier are proposed from four aspects: risk, power, leadership and collaboration, which is based on supply chain (SC)point of view.
