USING WEB 2.0 TOOLS TO SUPPORT LUNAR EXPLORATION

The Lunar Explorers Society (Lunex) has since its revival in 2006 been very active with promoting the world wide lunar exploration efforts. Lunex is using modern communication tools to reach its goals, most of them falling in the category Web 2.0, which is a relatively new term related to creativity, information sharing, and cooperation among users over the internet. This paper details the background and purpose of Lunex, what Web 2.0 is, how Lunex uses these tools and other, more traditional tools to communicate to its members and to the general public, and how Lunex plan to continue to expand the use of such tools in the future.
