In this paper, we propose a small antenna based on composite right/left-handed (CRLH) transmission lines. Interdigital capacitors are used to enhance series capacitances and it is built in a single layer, so that it lowers a resonant frequency while keeping a physical same size. It is observed that the resonant frequencies are 3.028 GHz and 2.724 GHz, corresponding to n=-1 and -2 modes, respectively. Therefore, the proposed structure enables the antenna size more compact and simplifies a fabrication.
