Correlation Analysis on Public Transportation System and Development of the City

Public transportation system is one of the important and basic functions of a city,it provides great promotion to the development of the city.However,in the field of research on the social economic benefit brought from public transportation,domestic research achievements are mostly based on qualitative analysis rather than quantitative analysis.Based on the statistical data of Beijing,this paper introduced a modified model of Cobb-Douglas to study the influence on social regional economic developments made by the operation of public transportation.Further more,the author tried to make preliminary explanation and supplement for the results gained from the model,which could provide some reference for policy-making.
