The new externally pressurized thrust gas-lubricated bearing with a simple or doubly tapered pressure-maintaining chamber can been especially well applied in varying heavy-duty fields. The pressure characteristic is planned as to prevent the pressure depression during bearing area, the improvement of pressure just after supply hole is evident because of the simple or doubly tapered pressure-maintaining chamber in a high supply pressure over 0.6Mpa. The load capacity of the new bearing is also largely increased over 30% compared with conventional ones.
