The Countermeasure Researches on Rural Direct Election of China

摘要

Villager self-government and village public service have been improved apparently since the reformation of direct election was put into practice in villages of China. Nevertheless,the construction of democracy and legal system on direct election are still backward in the countryside.With the problems of backward legal system in the course of direct election of villagers' committees,this paper discusses the necessities to strengthen the construction of the legal system about the direct election in villages,and puts forward some suggestions and countermeasures to make a good job of direct election by analyzing the electoral situation in the countryside of China. Firstly,electoral procedure law of villagers' Committees should be drawn up as quickly as possible according to Constitution of the People's Republic of China and Organic Law of Villagers' Committees. The law ought to fix the contents to introduce the competitive mechanism of open competitive election and the supervising authority,and regulates the electoral procedure by the law. Secondly,rapid development of rural economy and the improvement of peasants' culture qualities are the assurances of rural election in China.
