The paper aims at presenting the experiences made by the Swedish Radiation ProtectionAuthority (SSI) during the decommissioning of the Active Central Laboratory (ACL) in Studsvik, Sweden. As abackground, the facility and the decommissioning activities that have been performed are described. This isfollowed by a description of the regulation and supervision by the SSI. Finally, the main experiences are listedand conclusions are drawn.
