Innovative Didactics of Mathematics and Physics at Elementary Standard of Education using Agents and Multimedia Technologies

In this paper we aim to show and discuss how the use of virtual agents can enhance products devoted at visualizing, communicating, divulgating and teaching Mathematics and Physics at elementary or intermediate levels. Particularly important is the way the agents are designed, in relation to the specific context of application. Specific examples are provided by a few videos and multimedia that we have recently produced or we are currently producing with the aim of introducing and explaining the theory of Special Relativity in few minutes or introducing the fundamental notions of Euclidean Geometry for pupils of primary schools. The main characters are:a) a 3D agent with the physical aspect of Albert Einstein for the first one;b) compasses and a square, that have been chosen for the second product.
