East Nippon Expressway Company Limited (E-NEXCO) manages the expressway and has many facilities installed in the tunnel, the interchange, the rest area, and so on. These facilities are watched over and controlled with the central facilities control system in Traffic Control Center. This paper introduces the function that the expressway supervisory and control system performs for rationalization and reduction of workload of the operators.
