In the aerodynamic performance study of airfoil in ground effect, it is found that lift coefficient value obtained with traditional κ-ε high-Reynolds number turbulence model and standard wall function deviates experimental value greatly at small ground clearance and small attack angle. To solve the above problem, the turbulence model and wall boundary treatment method are improved. Then comparing computational results with experimental values, it shows that when the ground clearance of airfoil is of the same order of wall boundary layer thickness, κ-ε low-Reynolds number turbulence model and hybrid wall boundary treatment is available and reliable.
