The power plant of the vessel is a complex thermodynamic system, in which the equipments are connected with each other and their good technical conditions is a guarantee to fulfill the requirements of missions. During the medium maintenance or the third line maintenance of the vessel, some defective equipments of the power plant are repaired or replaced, and the connecting mode between some equipments is adjusted. This structural modification of the power plant may be effective to improve the working capability of the system, but also upsets the original mechanical balance between the equipments and brings risks into the operation of the power plant. Therefore, an evaluation technique of technical condition of the crucial equipments is developed. This newly proposed approach is composed of the following steps: thermal diagram calculation of the thermodynamic performance parameters of crucial equipments under different navigation mode, determination of degradation model of material characteristic, defection test of equipments, numeric analysis of multi-coupled field, and optimization of management strategies of power plants. The analysis technique can be applied for the determination of the maintenance scheme and timely modification of management regulation of the power plant.
