Table I shows that, qualitatively, there is good agreementbetween the codes. Figure 2 reports results for twonodalization schemes. The first uses the nodalizationscheme from Figure 1 and the second uses a finer mesh inthe top and bottom regions. Figure 2 shows goodagreement between the RELAP5-3D predictions and theexperimental results along the height of the pressurevessel. In the curved regions at the top and bottom of thepressure vessel, however, RELAP5-3D does not fullycapture the phenomenology of the experiment. The lattersuggests a need for refinement of the physical model inthese regions.
