NUCLEAR POWER’S ROLE IN BREAKING AMERICA’S ADDICTION TO FOREIGN OIL

This paper proposes a strategy for the United Statesto achieve independence from foreign oil by removing thedominant need for oil for transportation and how newnuclear generation will be needed to achieve this.The core components of this strategy are: theintroduction and increased usage of hydrogen poweredvehicles, the development and increased usage of HybridPlug-in vehicles, and the development of domestic oilshale.
